About My Shack

My shack consists of a Yaesu FT450D normally at 100 watts, powered by a MFJ-4225MV power supply, that goes into a MFJ-969 Deluxe Versa Tuner II antenna matcher and then into an 85′ wire antenna connected to a 9:1 unun to allow me to use coax to go into my shack.  I have an ICOM IC-706MKII that I’m wanting to install into my ’95 Nissan Pathfinder 4WD SUV so I can operate portable. I also have a Kenwood TS-430S that is sitting on a shelf for now.  I have a Signalink for digital modes.

I also have a little portable 2 meter antenna I made out of some scrap 450-ohm antenna wire and a discarded piece of RG-8X coax. The antenna works perfectly!

I have a HP Elitedesk 705 G1 that I use in the shack for logging and digital radio. The software I use:

I will eventually, some day, get pictures of the shack on here…
